Terms of sale.
The terms for buying the Points to Prove quick guide. Last updated 31 October 2026.
In short
A digital PDF for your own study, yours to download straight away. Once the download starts you can’t cancel, but if it’s faulty we’ll fix it or refund you. Please don’t share it.
Who we are
You’re buying from Points to Prove, a product of YourAppy, of Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London, E17 3NU. You can contact us at info@yourappy.com.
What you’re buying
The Points to Prove Quick Guide, Edition 1: a digital PDF of about 100 pages, plus its companion PDF, Dates to watch. It covers the law of England & Wales as at 31 October 2026.
It’s a study aid. It is not legal advice and it doesn’t replace force policy, your trainers or the official materials for your exam. The law moves: entries that turn on a date are marked, and listed in Dates to watch. We’re not affiliated with or endorsed by the College of Policing, any police force or any publisher.
Price and payment
£14.99, or £11.24 (25% off) if you check out with the email address you joined our waitlist with. Prices include VAT where applicable. The price you pay is the one shown on the payment page.
Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see your card details. Our contract with you starts when your payment is confirmed.
Delivery
Straight away. As soon as you’ve paid you’ll see your download links, and we’ll email them to the address you paid with. The links are for your order only and each one works 3 times, so save the files. If you lose them, write to us and we’ll sort it out.
Your right to cancel
You’d normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Digital content is different: at checkout you ask for the guide straight away and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once the download starts (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, reg 37).
So once either file has started downloading, you can’t cancel. If you change your mind before downloading anything, write to us within 14 days of buying and we’ll refund you in full.
If something’s wrong
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it isn’t, you’re entitled to a repair or a replacement. If we can’t do that, or can’t do it within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you’re entitled to a price reduction, which can be a full refund.
Spotted an error? Tell us. We’ll correct it, and you can download the corrected copy free. None of this affects your legal rights.
Your licence
The guide is licensed to you, the person who paid, for your own personal study. You can keep it on your own devices and print it for your own use. It stays our copyright.
- Please don’t share, forward, upload or sell it, or post it in a group chat or shared drive.
- Please don’t use it to teach or train others without our written permission.
Each copy says who it’s licensed to.
Updates
Corrections to Edition 1 are free to everyone who bought it: download it again from your links to get the latest copy. A new edition, for changes in the law after 31 October 2026, is a separate product.
Using the guide is on you
The guide is a study aid. It is not legal advice, not operational guidance and not a substitute for the law itself, your force’s policies or your supervisors. You use it at your own judgement and your own risk. Before you act on anything in it, check the source it links to and your force’s current policy.
We are not responsible for any decision you make or action you take on duty, or for its outcome. That includes arrests, searches, charging decisions, prosecutions, complaints, misconduct or disciplinary matters, and exam or assessment results.
We are not responsible for any indirect or business loss, or any loss we could not reasonably have foreseen. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with the guide is limited to the price you paid for it.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, or limits liability that by law cannot be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.
